Precision Shaft Grinding – What Sets Us Apart
At Jameson Machining Inc., we specialize in long-shaft grinding for the most demanding applications. Whether it's aerospace, mold & die, or custom machinery, we deliver consistent results on shafts up to 80 inches long and 24 inches in diameter.
Our shop is equipped with Zocca and John Shipman cylindrical grinders, Chevalier surface grinders, and FEIN GRIT belt systems — capable of handling a wide range of materials and geometries.
We also grind using CBN wheels for hardened materials, delivering fast stock removal and excellent form control, especially for shafts, rollers, and gear surfaces.
For finishing work, we offer microfinishing using 3M film-backed abrasives — ideal for achieving smooth surfaces, improving bearing contact, and reducing wear.
